Nate is a Brooklyn-based artist creating contemporary abstract artwork focused on texture, color, and form. His work is rooted in the idea that art can transform a space through both its visual composition and its physical presence.

Nate works across a range of materials and techniques, combining original hand-painted surfaces with thoughtfully upcycled artwork and materials. Whenever possible, he incorporates existing materials into his work, giving them a new purpose and helping reduce the environmental impact associated with producing new art materials. This process of reimagining existing pieces is also an important part of his creative practice, allowing him to build something new from what already exists.

Many of his pieces incorporate a signature textured overlay, applied by hand to create raised, tactile elements that interact with light and shadow. The contrast between smooth painted surfaces and heavily textured forms is central to his work, giving each piece depth and dimension that can shift depending on the light and viewing angle.

His approach to color and composition is intentionally flexible. Some works are minimal and restrained, while others use bolder colors, patterns, and organic shapes. Rather than adhering to a single style, Nate allows the materials and process to guide each piece, resulting in artwork that feels contemporary while remaining approachable and adaptable to different spaces.

Every piece is finished by hand in Brooklyn. Because of the hands-on nature of the process — and the use of reclaimed and upcycled materials where possible — each work is inherently unique. Variations in texture, shape, and finish are part of the character of the artwork rather than imperfections.
